When we purchased our old farmhouse, we knew it would be a perfect place to call home and where we wanted to spend our lives. Even more so, it provided a unique property to share with our friends and family. I've always been creative and love working on my home and helping others. I am excited to now offer interior design services on a larger scale.

beautiful designs for your new chapter in life

new chapter awaits
Changes, transitions, and pivots have been the cornerstone of my life. Through the good and the bad, I've focused on having a do-it-right positive attitude mixed in with hard work. Staying busy has always kept me going. I'm a mom of four adult children and like to stay active. After the kids left the nest, my husband and I sold our family home, to buy a 200-year-old farmhouse in the mountains of Northern New England. Most empty nesters think of downsizing at this stage of life, but not us! Our farmhouse has been life-changing!

Personally, it was an incredible shift for me, an older house, a bit removed from friends, and the first move without kids in tow. But with this move, something incredible happened, and I started to feel a level of contentment that I'd never experienced. Something magical and romantic happened, and it had a lot to do with being empty nesters and creating this home together to share with friends and family. Spending time putting my home together is one of my favorite things to do, and a big part of my transition to this old house was making it that sanctuary of home.

design philosophy

I love to delight my clients, offering them a little challenge. While I am a good listener, I do love to open clients to design options that would mix well with their style. The idea and value of working with me is exploring new ways to look at how you can define your style; I'm like that best friend that wants to push you in a positive and uplifting way!

professional backstory

my backstory
Five years ago, I became an empty nester. My love of making my home cozy, comfortable, and unique grounded me in change and transition. I was lucky enough to buy my first home when I was 24 years old, and I quickly learned how to put my rooms together on a very tight budget. Then, I learned the craft of treasure hunting, which has been at the core of my design aesthetic. Mixing the old and new and finding unique items brings a collected and curated feel to my home. I also learned the value of paint and how the power of color affected my well-being. Integrating color into my homes over the years has been crucial in creating the spaces that bring me joy.

I've been a corporate professional for over 30 years but was inspired to go after a dream: to focus on interior design. I returned to school and took an interior design course at UNH. With my business background, residential interior design certification, years of homeownership and decorating my homes, and membership with the Design Society of America, I share my design experience and love with you. And so, in the end, my philosophy of loving where I live has helped me manage my transitions, pivots, and changes! I can help you create beautiful spaces for your transitions too!

personal backstory

I know precisely how big transitions impact our lives, first as a new mom and then an empty nester and the shift to a quiet home when the kids leave to embark on their journeys. I've managed through some significant challenges but rediscovering myself and my passions have been the center of my strength. Moving has been a consistency in my life, first as a military kid and then opportunities within my career that brought about several moves. During each of those periods of life, my home was a place to gather myself and recharge. You deserve to have a beautiful home that functions well for whatever chapter you're writing.
